BHEL's
strategic business unit for ceramics products and systems under the banner of Ceramic
Business Unit (CBU) is dedicated to the enhancement of business in ceramics and its
associated systems. With the endeavor to provide total service solutions to the customers,
it is also responsible for enhancing business in the country and abroad by locating
technical partners and formation of joint ventures.
The Ceramic Business Unit (CBU) specifically deals with High Tension Insulators, Ceramic
wear resistant liners, Industrial ceramic products, Composite Insulators and associated
systems. This strategic business unit supports the following facilities:
* the "state-of-the-art" manufacturing technology for ceramic products and
systems, and
* advanced Research and Development facilities for ceramic products, processes and
applications at its Ceramic Technological Institute.
Ceramic Business Unit (CBU) consists of a team of professionally qualified engineers and
scientists drawn from diverse disciplines of engineering, quality, planning and finance
