Ceramic Technological Institute (CTI), is a premier research and development center of the
Ceramic Business Unit was established in 1989 with UNDP assistance cater to the research
and development in the science and engineering of ceramics and its derivatives.
CTI accentuates research in the field of industrial, electronic and special ceramics
(alumina /zirconia / cordierite types).
The institute supports both the International ceramics fraternity and the Indian ceramic
industry. It provides assistance in upgrading the technology and developing new processes
and products in the emerging field of advanced ceramics.
