Dr. Renuka Mishra assumed the additional charge of Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited with effect from 03.06.2026. She is a distinguished officer of the Indian Economic Service (IES), 2003 Batch and is presently serving as Economic Adviser, Ministry of Heavy Industries, Government of India. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Allahabad and has over two decades of experience in public policy, economic administration, regulatory affairs, governance, and public sector management.
During her career, Dr. Mishra has held key positions in the Ministries of Heavy Industries, Education, Finance, Commerce & Industry, and Overseas Indian Affairs, dealing with policy formulation, financial markets, technical education, international cooperation, public sector enterprises, and institutional governance. She has served as Government Nominee Director on the Boards of several Central Public Sector Enterprises and has extensive experience in parliamentary matters, public grievances, RTI, and administrative reforms.
An accomplished academic and researcher, Dr. Mishra has authored several publications and has represented India in international conferences and policy dialogues. She has received numerous academic distinctions, including the Chancellor’s Medal from the University of Allahabad and the Gold Medal for Best Woman Participant in the Advanced Professional Programme in Public Administration at the Indian Institute of Public Administration.
As CVO, BHEL, she brings rich experience in governance, policy implementation, institutional oversight, and public sector administration.
